GardenLinks is a UK directory for gardening and gardens. If you have a UK gardening-related website, you are welcome to apply for a listing. We offer free and affordable listing types - you can even have a button-and-text listing for under £2 a week!  GardenLinks is specially designed to promote UK gardening resources, so our visitors may well be looking for sites and services just like yours - UK garden related.  Our aim is to help you, the UK gardener, garden retailer, horticulturalist or garden-lover, bringing together people and information, customers and businesses.

What do we look for in a site?

Apply for a Listing in the GardenLinks Directory

All sites are reviewed by a human editor. Please select from a link exchange, low-cost text link, button and description, or other advertising. If you have already submitted your site within the last 6 months, please do not keep re-submitting. Either your site wasn't accepted or it's in the queue and we'll get around to you. Of course, applications for paid listings will be given top priority, so if you need a quick result a paid listing could be the best option for you.

Select A Link Type

1.  Exchange Links With Us We will list your site in one category (decided by us) in return for a clearly visible link on your site. Listings in second and subsequent categories are charged as below. If we accept your site, on which page of your site will you provide a return link to us within 2 weeks? (The page should be easily accessible from your home page) E.g. http://www.yoursite.com/links.htm (REQUIRED): Sites not linking back within 2 weeks will be removed. 2.  Low Cost Text Listing Without Reciprocal Link  Promote your site with a text listing of up to 20 words in the GardenLinks Directory with no need for a reciprocal link, for just £37.50 for one year (that's less than 75p per week!) 3.  Button and Text Description Stand out from the crowd!  We will display a button (up to 120 pixels wide x 60 pixels high) with a text description of up to 20 words for £120 for 1 year (that's less than £2.40 per week!) 4.  Other If you are interested in other forms of advertising on our site please use the "comments" box at the end of this form to suggest your ideas.  Please note we are not offering advertising space on our "index" (home) page or banner advertising at this time.

Terms and Conditions

Non-paying applicants for a listing - the terms and conditions below apply, except for the comments on refunds and payment.

Paying advertisers - by applying for a listing with us, you confirm you have read and agree to our terms and conditions, below.  If your site is approved we will contact you with details of how to pay by cheque.  (We regret we do not currently have a credit card facility).

1.  Only UK garden-related sites will be considered.
2.  We reserve the right to reject submissions for any reason or no reason.
3.  If your site ceases to be UK garden-related during the course of its listing or is discovered to promote pornography, violence, illegal activities or discrimination based on gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, race or disability, we will delete the link and you will not receive a refund.  Otherwise, if we are unable to advertise your link for the full amount of time paid for, we will send a refund pro rata.
4.  We cannot guarantee that listings will appear in, or remain in, a specific category.  GardenLinks is evolving over time, and we reserve the right to re-categorise links as we deem appropriate.  We may change the layout and content of our site at any time.
5.  Your listing will be in place shortly after your payment is processed and will remain for the selected time from the date it appears.
6.  You will not make any statement implying that your site or business is affiliated with, or connected with, GardenLinks.
7.  We do not claim that the operation of our site will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we cannot accept liability for the consequences of any interruptions or errors.
8.  We do not guarantee that we will not link to sites in competition with your own.

A Note on the Aims of GardenLinks

By far the largest number of people wanting to add their sites to GardenLinks are commercial advertisers who are selling gardening products from their sites.  However, visitors to the GardenLinks site come in search of information on plants, days out, gardening techniques as well as garden shopping sites.  We aim to keep GardenLinks a balanced and informative site with all these resources as well as commercial links to reputable garden suppliers.  Therefore, we sometimes select sites we have found ourselves or which have appeared in our "free-for-all" links page for free listings in our directory.  These include, but are not limited to, charitable sites or sites of exceptional interest to UK gardeners (e.g. the RSPB, the National Rose Society).  Sites we select in this way do not have guaranteed listings in the GardenLinks Directory.
